Spouting off

A first look at some of my new pots, it's all about form and function.

S-s-studio

For those of you that have never payed me a visit, this is where the magic happens.

Wedgwoods

Had a recent behind the scenes look at the last remaining UK Wedgwoods factory in Stoke.

Its amazing to see how much of the production is done by hand.

Had a look at the fancy digital design department. But by design I mean the meshing of old components to produce slightly different products.... disappointing as it is to find out that Yanks now own it.

Pots and Food

A new show up north, had a good selection of potter's including Favorites of mine Doug Fitch, Mike Dodd and Dylan Bowen

There was a few no shows which was a shame and the food part of the show was lacking, although the few stands which were there had some tasty delights.

Not so, Open studio

Well I sold more than last year even tho there was probably about 50% less visitors. It's not surprising as last year there was a number of studio closed or unattended.
Same story this year, it's sad as its only one weekend a year and people can't be bothered to make any effort. There was a number of studio which were very poor, which reflex badly on the studio co-op as a whole
